I have been a dedicated full-time surfer since I was 11-years-old. I surfed many places, from the tip of Baja, to San Francisco, to Hawaii. Surfing is and always will be a part of my life. Unfortunately, I suffered several back and hip injuries that derailed my surfing life. Now, at age 38, I still surf-although my injuries won't let me surf as much as I want to.

When I'm not surfing, I choose to take surfing photos. I prefer to photograph from the water, but I also shoot from land. Water photography keeps me in touch with the ocean, which is so important to me. Being a life-long surfer has given me the ability to find the right moments to take decent photos.

Don't take things for granted, you never know when they might be gone. I miss surfing every day, but I thank the Lord for the occasional waves I do ride.
